Family Support

Our Family Support Group is a peer led group which provides a confidential and non-judgemental space for parents or siblings of those with addiction. It meets weekly in the evening and allows those whose lives are affected to share their stories and support each other.  This is a gentle and slow process of meeting, sharing experiences, growing together and supporting each other in a simple human way. Family support groups do this through listening, compassion, supporting and encouraging hope in times of deep distress. Family support groups place a high value on confidentiality amongst their members whereby all members promise to respect the private stories of their fellow members.

The group arranges several social outings a year and involves itself in the Commemoration Ceremony and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony which takes place in the community.

The Family Support Group meets weekly on a Tuesday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in Kavanagh House, Inchicore.
