Afterschool

Our Afternoon Group cares for primary school aged children. This group provides school collections and daily nutritious meals. The children are supported with homework and enjoy engaging in art, games, projects etc. The afternoon group encourages children to express themselves in a safe space. There is an importance put on working in partnership with parents and with other childcare agencies to support the needs of the children who attend this group.

Education and School

The children who attend our afterschool group are supported daily with homework and learning. Our early year’s practitioner’s attend meetings in schools with teachers, principals and other professionals to ensure the children who avail of service receive the education and support they need. From time to time, our team are also involved in processes to support children, families and psychotherapists when a child diagnosis is sought.

Summer Project

Each year, our afterchool children enjoy approximately 4 field trips. These trips include visits to the DSPCA, the cinema, the farm, Clara Lara, the wax museum, Splash Valley and many more! These trips are chosen with the children who have an opportunity to choose their trips and look forward to the outings year round!

Annual Respite trip to Carlingford

Each summer, the afterschool children and the children’s project team head to Carlingford for a week long respite trip. This trip is much loved by staff and children and involves water sports, rock climbing, outdoor activities, axe throwing, restaurant trips and more. This trip aims to give children a break away from their daily lives and encourages team work, self confidence and helps all involved build deeper, trusting relationships.
