UPCYCLING & TRAINING

PROGRAMMES

Frontline provides upskilling and retraining in bike mechanics to those who are seeking help in overcoming addiction and wish to make change. On site we provide training in City & Guilds level 1 and 2 in Cycle Mechanics along with aftercare support, counselling, holistics, key working and more. By engaging with our services it provides an opportunity for re-education and upskilling but also creates a social return which benefits the community.

WHY CHOOSE OUR PROGRAMMES

Money made

Any money which is made from the provision of our training modules or from the upcycling of bicyles in our Training Unit will be reinvested back into providing further opportunities for people struggling with addiction.

upcycling

All of the bikes we sell have been upcycled and fitted with new parts where necessary. This ensures that when you buy a Frontline bike, you’re making a conscious decision to buy Green.

direct away from landfill

By upcycling bikes, it ensures that less waste is going to landfill. This means Frontline Bikes is actively engaged in a programme to direct waste away from landfill and gives a preloved bike a second chance.

reinvested back into community

Money earned from our bike shop and social enterprise will be reinvested back into the organisation so that we can ensure as many people as possible are given opportunities to upskill and learn a new trade, giving them further opportunities for employment.

circular economy

The circular economy is an alternative to today’s ‘take-make-waste’ economy where great quantities of natural resources are extracted to make things that may be used only once before being thrown away. By upcycling our bikes and parts, we are engaged in providing a second use of resources available.

City & Guilds Accredited Training

Frontline are proud to offer City & Guilds Accredited Training in Bicycle Mechanics. Candidates will learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the cycle maintenance and building sector.
