MAKING RECOVERY VISIBLE
Recovery Month is an important opportunity to make recovery visible. While recovery happens every day, it is not always something that is seen or talked about openly. This month gives us the chance to change that by creating space for conversations, connections and celebrations that recognise the many different forms recovery can take.
RECOVERY WALK
The events begin with the annual Recovery Walk in Dublin City Centre on Saturday 5 September. Frontline staff members will join services from across the Dublin area, along with people in recovery and their family members, to walk from the Garden of Remembrance to Merrion Square, where the festivities will continue in the park with music and food.
CANAL CYCLE
Then, on Friday 11 September, team members and trainees from our social enterprise, Frontline Bikes, will take part in a canal cycle from Bluebell to Cliff at Lyons and back again.
FAMILY FUN DAY – INCHICORE
On Sunday 13 September, Frontline staff will be on hand at a community family fun day in Inchicore Community Sports Centre, bringing together local services and community members to celebrate recovery in a family-friendly environment with games, food and entertainment.
FAMILY FUN DAY AND ANNIVERSARY – NEIC
Our NEIC Community Addiction Team will host its own family fun day on Thursday 17 September at 2:30pm to mark one year of being part of Frontline, with a magician, burger van and music.
FASHION SHOW
Following the success of the inaugural Women’s Group fashion show in 2025, we will be hosting an even bigger event this year, with guest speaker Rachael Keogh and live music. The fashion show takes place on Friday 25 September from 11:00am – 1:00pm at our Bluebell service.
FOOTBALL MATCH
Rounding off the month, on Wednesday 30 September, there will be a community football match involving staff and clients. This will take place at Bluebell Community Centre from 1:00pm.
