Corrine Doyle has been working as the Clinical Services Manager at Frontline Make Change since 2022. Here’s what a typical workday looks like in her role.
My day typically begins at 9:00 a.m. with a team check-in. These short, informal meetings provide a valuable space for staff to share updates, raise concerns, and support one another in planning the day ahead. They help maintain open communication and foster a supportive team culture.
After check-in, I start the day with a hot coffee while scanning emails, reviewing my diary, and setting priorities for the day. My starting location varies depending on service needs. While my main base is in our Inchicore service, I also spend one day each week in our North Inner City service.
Each service holds a weekly team meeting that includes operational updates and client check-ins. This collaborative approach supports best practice, ensures smooth day-to-day operations, and enables us to provide the highest standard of care to our clients.
No two days are the same in my role. My work typically includes a mix of administrative tasks, such as funding applications, report writing, alongside staff support, planning, and operational management. I also engage regularly with both internal teams and external stakeholders and funders through meetings, partnerships, and networking events.
Managing addiction services requires constant adaptability. Whether addressing staffing and safeguarding issues, responding to client needs, or navigating interagency collaboration and compliance, each day brings new challenges and opportunities.
Despite the busy nature of the role, I value the time I get to spend with staff outside of task-focused conversations. These moments of connection help build trust, strengthen relationships, and contribute meaningfully to team morale.
