Sabrina O'Neill - team leader

Sabrina O’Neill has worked at Frontline Make Change since 2019 and is currently a Team Leader based in our Inchicore office. She leads a team of addiction practitioners while also coordinating groups and recovery events. Here she takes us through a typical day in her role.

TEAM CHECK IN

My day typically begins with a daily team check-in. During this time, we discuss priorities for the day, share updates, and make sure everyone has the support they need. These meetings help us stay connected as a team and ensure everyone is aware of each other’s plans for the day.

After check-in, I look over emails, review my diary, and prepare for any planned meetings or appointments I have for the day.

While my main base is in Inchicore; I spend one day a week in our Bluebell service.

SUPPORT

Throughout the day, I balance supporting clients with supporting staff. I meet with clients for one-to-one sessions and facilitate groups, while also working with colleagues to address any issues that arise throughout the day.

Being a Team Leader also involves a range of management responsibilities. I review referrals, manage staffing issues, complete documentation, attend meetings, and ensure that policies and safeguarding procedures are followed.

Working as a Team Leader at Frontline is both challenging and rewarding. Every day brings new situations, opportunities to support people in their recovery, and the chance to help my team provide the best possible care.
