Cannabis Group

The Cannabis Group is run for Service Users who are considering making positive changes to their cannabis use.  Whether that be reducing the use or ceasing smoking.  The group runs periodically when the need arises and is run over 8 weeks meeting weekly.  It is co-facilitated with the Mental Health Nurse in the Inchicore Primary Healthcare Unit.  Each week consists of modules such as The Stages of Addiction, The Effects of Cannabis on Mental/Physical Health, Relapse Prevention etc.  Topics covered include; reducing cannabis use, tools to cope with triggers, handling daily pressures. Increasing awareness around the drug itself.  This has been a hugely successful course with many Service Users making positive changes to their lives.
