Family Peer SUPPORT Group

Our Family Support Group is a peer led group that provides a person centred welcoming, confidential and non-judgemental safe space for parents; family members; siblings; partners; friends of those with addiction issues.

The group meets weekly one evening a week providing a safe space for those whose lives are affected by othersaddiction to share their stories and support each other at the individuals pace through meeting, sharing experiences, growing together and supporting each other.

What is Family Support

Family Support Groups do this through acknowledgement,  listening, empathy, compassion, non-judgemental, inclusion; supportive and encouragement. The group place a high value on confidentiality amongst their members, all memberscommit to respect the private stories of their fellow members.

The group arranges several social outings a year, they include, The Annual Family Support Commemoration, Inchicore Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony; Respite Weekend Away and the National Family Support Convention. 

The service is available to anyone living in the Inchicore community and those from other communities who wish to attend the group.
