Each year the children who access the Children’s Project here in Kavanagh House have the opportunity to go on a respite break.  This year two groups of five children went to the Carlingford Adventure Centre.  Ranging from five to eleven years of age the children engage in watersports, fishing, zip-lining and other land based adventure activities.  They also go out for a meal in a restaurant.

The importance of this break away from their usual environment cannot be underestimated.  The children gain independence, teamwork skills and build self esteem.  We would like to thank the funders and philanthropic agencies who provide much needed funds for this annual event.
